I love all the Max and Ruby books because I love Max. He is a wonderful character. In this book Max stays up late and tries to sneak a peek at Santa.

The Nutquacker - 2 stars
I did not enjoy this book. I read aloud to my daughter, so while all the animal noises and stuttering was cute the first two pages... I soon started feeling like porky pig "th-th-th-that's all folks!" I also thought it would have been a re-telling of the nutcracker - which I LOVE! but it was not.

Who's That Knocking on Christmas Eve - 5 stars
I loved this book. Poor girl, all she wants to do is have a nice Christmas meal without trolls stealing it. A new friend and an ice bear show up to give her a hand. Christmas books tend to be repetitive, so the trolls being added to this story was a nice twist.
